The Albanese Government welcomes the Independent Review of Resourcing in Parliamentarian Offices undertaken by the Parliamentary Workplace Support Service (PWSS).

This review consulted with parliamentarians, employees, and agencies operating across commonwealth parliamentary workplaces, and interacting with the parliamentary environment.

Through examining the resources and supports provided to parliamentarians and their offices, the review addresses the challenges which many parliamentarians and staff face while assisting and representing their communities.

I both acknowledge and thank Ms Debbie Arnold who commenced the review, and Ms Christina Grant and her team for their exceptionally hard work providing a comprehensive list of findings and recommendations.

The Government agrees in-principle to all 10 recommendations in the report.

The Albanese Labor Government has a firm commitment to continuous improvement of the culture of the parliamentary workplace and will work with relevant agencies and across the parliament to act on these recommendations.
