The Government has appointed Ms Karen Smith-Pomeroy as Chair of the Regional Investment Corporation (RIC) Board for a three-year term.
Ms Smith-Pomeroy has more than 30 years’ experience in the banking and financial services sector, most recently in a senior executive position at Suncorp Bank. She will also bring public sector board experience to the role.
Ms Smith-Pomeroy’s significant experience and expertise will further strengthen RIC’s already high performing Board and ensure it continues to deliver for regional and rural Australia through new investment and economic growth opportunities.
The Government thanks Ms Prue Bondfield for her effective leadership as Acting Chair of the RIC Board since October 2019.
The Government looks forward to continuing to work with RIC in 2020 and beyond.
