The Australian Government is pleased to announce the reappointment of nbn CEO Bill Morrow to the company’s Board as executive director for a further three-year term, commencing 2 April 2017. Mr Morrow’s appointment as CEO remains ongoing.
As CEO and Executive Director, Mr Morrow has led a transformation in nbn’s organisational culture. Under Mr Morrow’s leadership, nbn has met or exceeded its full-year rollout and financial targets since 2014. He has reset the company’s relationships with prime contractors; brought three new nbn technologies online; and overseen a tenfold increase in connected services.
To date, more than 1.9 million phone and internet services have been migrated to the nbn and that number is growing by more than 30,000 activations a week.
Mr Morrow is one of the most experienced executives in the global telecommunications industry, having held both executive and director level positions in several global companies.
We congratulate Mr Morrow on his reappointment and thank him for his ongoing leadership and oversight in guiding the nbn through the remainder of the rollout.
By 2020, all Australians will be able to connect to fast broadband. For more information on when and how to connect visit www.nbnco.com.au
