We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Dominique Fisher to the Australia Post Board as a non-executive director for three years.

Ms Fisher brings extensive commercial expertise to the Australia Post Board that will help position the company in meeting future challenges during a period of significant change in the postal sector.

Ms Fisher has had an extensive career in managing emerging technologies and their commercialisation in the electronic, telecommunications and information technology industries. She is currently the Managing Director of Helix Digital Pty Ltd, Executive Chairman of CareerLounge Pty Ltd and Chair of Circadian Technologies Limited.  She has held numerous board positions including Director of Pacific Brands and Insurance Australia Group.

The appointment of Ms Fisher follows her selection in an executive search process conducted by an independent recruitment agency.

Mr Paul O’Sullivan was appointed to the Board as a non-executive director for three years. However, subsequent to this appointment, Singapore Post Ltd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Quantium Solutions (Australia) Pty Ltd, has agreed to acquire CouriersPlease Holdings Pty Ltd, a metropolitan express parcel delivery business in Australia. As Chairman of Singtel Optus Pty Ltd, Mr O’Sullivan has elected to resign from the Board of Australia Post as Optus’ parent company, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, is the largest shareholder of Singapore Post.

Mr O'Sullivan is one of Australia's leading chief executives and we were thrilled that he was prepared to serve on the Board of Australia Post. While Mr O'Sullivan has no involvement with or responsibility for Singapore Post, his decision to resign is a reminder of his great integrity and understanding of corporate governance.

Dominique Fisher – Background

Ms Fisher is currently Chair of Circadian Technologies Limited and Principal of EC Strategies Pty Ltd, a company that advises local and offshore companies on technology strategies and major commercial transactions. She is also the managing director of Helix Digital Pty Ltd and Executive Chairman of CareerLounge Pty Ltd.

Ms Fisher has previously held numerous board positions including non-executive Director of Pacific Brands and Insurance Australia Group (IAG) and its subsidiaries during the demutualisation of NRMA Insurance and the listing of IAG. She was previously a member of the ICT Advisory Board, advising the Australian Government on key issues affecting the development of the information technology and communications sector
